Impact is the change an organization seeks to bring about in the world. It is not exhausted in its activities or its immediate results, but in the lasting change it achieves in the field where it works.
Measuring impact requires a structured methodology so that it is valid and communicable. There are different methods for measuring impact. The main ones we use integrate the Eco-Social Return on Investment (ESROI - SROI), which calculates in quantitative and communicable terms what the organization achieves, with the Theory of Change. The ToC orders the organization's pieces of action across context and problem, resources, activities, results and change.
There are other impact indicators we use, depending on the context, so that they are useful to the organization and its specific needs.
